  • Hell yeah!!!

Cynic left a massive hole in the progressive metal scene, filled somewhat by the likes of Ephel Duath in recent years, but there’s only one Cynic.

  • Cynic was cool enough to send a demo after our drummer wrote Sean in 1991 from seeing his credits on Chucks Human – where most of us were introduced to Sean. Paul and Jason were cool enough to chat with us after a concert in 1992 (I think) in Columbus Ohio. Great guys and upped the par for this genre.

  • I heard them live yesterday evening in Aix-en-Provence, France…

    ……….. very powerful, very strong
I really like them since their first demo!

I’m waiting for their new album as I heard some songs yesterday !!!

  • I saw these guys play before Cannibal Corpse in DesMoines, Ia. I think it was 1993? Sinister played also. There where 3 other bands that played that day. Joey jordison was there playing for the first two bands, one of which he had only rehersed with once(this was before all of that Slipknot stuff). He and I got to stand behind the drummer and watch while they played because only about 30 people showed up. It was inspirational! I had never seen anybody play drums in a metal band like that. Sounded like Vinnie Caliuta meets Immortal. All of the band members where very nice, approachable people.
